Today I had the distinct pleasure to sit down and talk with East Tennessee State University’s Dr. Brad DeWeese. Dr. DeWeese share’s with us how working in Track and Field has impacted him as both a prof. and a coach, how it’s led to many relationships that have helped him build his philosophy of training, and driven his career in the direction it has gone. He shares who many of those people are, who he’s learned from and have been mentors along his way, and how he how he developed those relationships. Next he touches on how he got into the winter sports, and how that has directed his methods. The conversation finishes with how Brad views the whole “sport science” thing as, how they use it, what they monitor, and how it impacts his programming.
