Today we are joined by Dr. Nicole Surdyka to discus ACL injuries. After a brief introduction, Dr. Surdyka get’s right into decisions and questions related to knee surgery. This leads right down the rabbit hole of deconditioning, and how evaluations in return to play can be “off” because of this. She then touches upon the importance of confidence and psychology is in the rehab process. We finish off with a discussion on reintroducing the athlete to training and how we can move forward by moving backwards sometimes.
