Cristian Plascencia, ONNIT-Breathing Basics

People typically breath somewhere between 12-20 breaths per minute, which clocks in at anywhere between 17,000 and 30,000 breaths per day. In spite of that large quantity of actions, this isn’t something that coaches have worked on until relatively recently. Cristian Plascencia of ONNIT gives us a fantastic break down of some simple but extremely successful breathing drills that can help your athletes become more efficient at an activity that they are constantly doing throughout the day without any equipment. He walks us step by step through the techniques used with cues he recommends, and gives demonstrations of three different drills that he has had phenomenal success with his athletes and clients, along with how he progresses these drills.

We are hoping to provide the best possible content for strength coaches with each of our shows. If feel this could provide value for anyone else in the strength and conditioning field please feel free to share.
