Does that mean that the strength coach did a better job with this team this year or the team last year? What if the team last year, even though they had more than triple the injuries had a better record, won a championship, went far in the tournament?”

In this weeks My Thoughts Monday I share a discussion I had with a coworker on the responsibilities the strength coach carries when it comes to what we are attempting to improve in our athletes. We, as a profession, like to say that we “decrease the risk of injuries”, but today I share why I feel like us saying that is our main objective may put us in a corner when the rubber hits the road when injuries happen.
