“You have to be fluid and you have to ask a lot of really good questions.”
Today we are joined by Denver Broncos strength coach and Landow Performance Loren Landow. After a quick run down of how Loren got to the Bronco’s we get into the transition from the private sector and combine prep to working in The National Football League, what new challenges he sees and what parts are similar. Next, Loren shares with us some of the work he’s done with Mixed Martial Artists, and discusses his role in developing those athletes and some extremely unique obstacles that come with working with high level fighters. This leads into a really interesting step by step progression of how Loren’s work monitoring the training loads and readiness of his athletes has evolved. We finish off discussing how he sets his groups based on KPI’s with the Broncos and what characteristics he’s looking for in different groups.
We are hoping to provide the best possible content for strength coaches with each of our shows. If feel this could provide value for anyone else in the strength and conditioning field please feel free to share.
