In this weeks edition fo The Podcast I sit down and talk about return to play progressions with Florida Atlantic University’s Zach Higginbotham. After a quick run down of how he got down to FAU Zach talks about how he started getting really involved developing return to sport progressions. We then start to discuss metrics, their impact in the return to sport process, and how they can act as a guide to not just bring them “back” but possibly help them come back at a better level. Zach then discusses the continuum from GPP to SPP and how exercise selection and progression leads directly into the the athlete’s psychological preparation post injury.
