“Just because we get accreditation or licensure or something like that passes and it has to be done in order for you to be a collegiate strength coach, well that doesn’t mean it will solve those problems, but I guarantee by sharing our information on how we run things, by looking at how we make due with limited recourses or what we do when we have an abundance of recourses to grow our program. That’s going to make this field go forward a lot better and a lot quicker with a lot more importance than if we were just to wait on i licensure or accreditation or wait for someone else to do it.”

Mike Caro sits down with us to share how he see’s us as coaches can help give back to the field and build the profession. The idea that he discusses is how we should “push the pace.” This is a leading from the front idea when it comes to research and collaborations within your campus, and sharing more information through blogs, video’s, and podcasts. He then brings it full circle to discuss how this idea can help drive the profession forward and increase the professional view of outsiders about our profession.
