In this weeks edition of The Podcast Power Athlete’s Tex McQuin joins us to discuss training and developing athletes. After a brief intro of himself and what Power Athlete is and does Tex jumps right into how he his playing and coaching career have been motivated by an early mistake. This leads us right into discussing the impact of CrossFit Football on him as a coach and how he educates coaches around the world. Tex then shares with us some of the disconnections between CrossFit and “sport specific” training that they tried to fill with CrossFit Football. We then discuss assessments and how they look at posture and positioning through out warm up and training as a guide to their programming. This leads us into breaking down the three axis of rotation of the hip and how they train around this idea. We finish out talking about Wades Army, what it is, and how they got it started.
