Chris is currently entering his third season as the Director of Basketball Performance at Coppin State University. Before moving to Baltimore, he completed mentorships in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, as well as at the University of Louisville under Coach Teena Murray. Prior to those experiences, Chris earned his Master’s in Exercise Science from George Washington University while serving as a graduate assistant under the tutelage of Coaches Matt Johnson & Brandi Walker.
Chris is passionate about relationship-based coaching, and
believes in the utilization of sound principles & dynamic systems, as well as the needs, capabilities & limitations of the team or individual, to guide his approach to training. He is also working on building a training brand & website under the name of C-Hays Strength, LLC.
A native of Lansdale, PA, C-Hays earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Slippery Rock University (PA), while earning a spot as a walk-on after serving his freshman year as a manager.
