Mianfang Ruan received a Ph.D. in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University in 2007. He also earned a Master’s degree in Sports Biomechanics from Shanghai University of Sport in 1998. Currently, he is with Ningbo University, China. He was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Health, Leisure, and Exercise Science of University of West Florida and a Research Scientist at Andrews–Paulos Research and Education Institute. His research focuses on influences of muscle activation and stretching load on subsequent human muscle power production and their applications on plyometric training.
